The Ecology & Biodiversity Society, SS, HKUSU, (EBS) (formerly named the Environmental Life Science Society), aims to serve its members and represent their interests within and without the university, whilst promoting the study of ecology & biodiversity. EBS has held a plethora of activities including field trips for students within and without the university, a variety of workshops, and activities allowing exploration of Hong Kong’s ecology. Since its establishment in 2005, it has collaborated with multiple organizations, and participated actively in social issues and affairs regarding Hong Kong’s biodiversity.
Founded in 1993, we are dedicated to promoting green concepts, including environmental protection and conservation. In addition to organizing activities, we will also work with the university body to ensure its operation is in line with our green and sustainable concepts. Most importantly, we believe that every single one of us can make a change for a better place to live in.
An Academic Society established in the academic year 2012-2013. It is a student organization which serves members with a Major/Minor in Environmental Science (BSc, HKU) or has strong interest in the environment. The aims of the Society are as follow: To promote the study of environmental science within the University; To enhance communication and bonding among members, teachers and alumni; To raise students' concern with environmental issues; To represent the interests of members within and outside the University; To promote the welfare of members of the Society; To facilitate interactions between students and external bodies, that may include environmental groups, businesses, and government departments.

Founded in 1955, Geographical, Geological & Archaeological Society SSS HKUSU (“GGAS”, formerly Geographical, Geological & Archaeological Society AA HKUSU) has been one of the oldest societies in continuous operation in the University of Hong Kong. At GGAS believes that zeal is the key to success. As inscribed in the Society’s constitution, the Society not only aims to cultivate Members’ interests and knowledge in Geography, Geology and Archaeology, but are also committed to developing social awareness among our Members, especially social issues that are related to Geography, Geology and Archaeology.
